Why I create:

I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. It’s something I have always done and never plan to stop. I continue to do it to keep my creativity alive and to connect with my childhood self. For me, art has never been about skill. It’s about expressing yourself and using your creativity. You can learn the fundamentals of art and learn to draw a realistic portrait- but so can AI. Art is ugly, it’s messy, it is full of heart and it’s real. Anyone can learn how to draw, but being an artist is something different. When people tell me they can’t draw, I just think that is so silly. Learning to draw is the least important part of being an artist. Create something that makes you feel something.
